About Us
For more than 60 years, Baldwin Bay has been the launching point for water-access cottages on the
Catchacoma-Mississauga chain of lakes. Today, Baldwin Bay Marina has built on that tradition,
providing marina services and more to cottagers and visitors on the Catchacoma system, throughout
the Kawartha Highlands and beyond.
Baldwin Bay Marina traces its history back to Crawford’s and Manley’s Landing, the modest
facilities that served area cottagers in the 1940s and 50s. In 1977, Bob and Bernadette Plug purchased the property,
moved their family here and renamed the business Baldwin Bay Marina.
From its humble beginnings as a tiny store, shop and gas shack, Baldwin Bay Marina has expanded into a
full-service marina and boat sales centre. We offer a wide range of services, including convenience shopping,
boat docking, gasoline sales, marine repairs, off-season storage and boat sales. Our property boasts 70 boat slips, a three-bay repair shop, covered storage facilities for over 170 boats and more than 3000 sq. ft. of store and showroom, as well as our family home.
Our business may have grown, but we still retain that family feeling. Joined now by our son-in-law Dwayne Ferguson,
we offer friendly, knowledgeable service and the experience that comes with 30 years of living and
working on one of Ontario’s most beautiful lake systems.
Drop by Baldwin Bay Marina and find out for yourself why we’ve become the preferred choice
for marina services, boat sales, marine repairs and cottaging supplies in the Kawartha Highlands.
